only a 4hr minibus journey to the capital of Laos, Vientiane. we arrived abiut 2pm so myself and Jess explored the very European/French city. it was lovely, small and lits of little bars/cafes full of tasty pastries and cakes...yum! we met Ash and Jen for a quick drink before they headed off to 400 islands and watched the sunset over the Mekong, witnessed an outdoor excersise clads and wandered around the night market along the river front - deloghtful!
