02.06.2013 : Day 34 : Luang Prubang

we tried to be cultural today and took a boat across the Mekong to a village called Ban Cha - a pottery village that specialises in pots and roof tiles! a few of us had a go at making a pot which was a lot harder than it looked! we also saw the underground kiln they cook the pottery in - very interesting.  we then walked across a very weak looking bambo bridge to see some of the other villages but as it was the midday sun qe didnt make it very far and decoded to take a break for lunch at a scandinavian bakery!  the villages here werrnt quite as authentic or interesting as the indian/thai ones... We had a trafitional Laos bbq for dinner...wss rather interesting ...we were presented wit a basket of raw veg /noodles , an egg, a plate of raw eat and a bbq/grill thing in temiddle of the table!so it was a do it yourself ob but wad surprisingly tasty :)
