i went for a walk in the morning to check out a few other hostels but decoded to stay put at Giants. I got a taxi up to Doi Suthep - the temple on the hill - everyone had recommded going up there - the story was that a monk was going up the mountain on a white elephant when it collapsed and died. they saw this as a sign and built a temple there! it is about 40mons out of Chiang Mai and has an amazing view over the city! I got blessed by a monk who tied a pieve of cotton string around my wrist and i have just found out from Ains i have to keep it on until it falls uloff otherwise it os reallg bad luck...massive fail! haha I spent the afternoon chilling beofre skyping Claire and Charlotte and then met up with Kaitlin and her friend Kasey to have a walk around thw Saturday Night markets and try the delicious street food! had a very interesting meal - a mushroom salad thing with noodles and a spicy dressong - but the mushrolms were like nothing i have every seen before...they looked lile flowers! amazing amd surprisingly very yummy!
