a very special day as it is Eleanor, Emma Pitt and Mez's bdays! and i celebrated it in style for them! Tiger took me out on his moped as i didnt want to drive myself...we went to Pembok Waterfall...slightly off the beaten track and had a swim, then from there went to the Canyons and the WW2 Japanese bridge..i learnt some more history here too!! the waterfall was amazing - so high and refreshing! the canyon was stunning...full of trees looking out over the nearby villages and mountaims! absolutely stunning scenery! from there we drove up to the Chinese Village and carried on to some hot springs. again these were off the beaten track, on a dirt road and when the raon started i wasnt sure it was such a good idea! ha but we carried and and i am so glad we did...the hot spring was amazimg! about 30degrees so we could swim in them! just like a bath in the jungle - amazimg! from there we headed back to Pai and i had some lunch and watched the wprld go by qhile it monsooned outside! its amazing how quockly the air changes from hot to cooler, wetter air before it downpours...the droplets actually hutt they are so big and heavy! and there is always such a distinct smell in the aor...of the dusty roads being saturated with water! later the plan is to chill and meet Jacki for dinner somewhere in the town :) we had an immense dinner - pizza fpllowed by the most ginprpus ice cream /- coconut & chocolate and cookies n cream!
